Costa Verde Express from the inside, with every luxury detail.

Just over four decades ago, Spain’s most veteran tourist train and one of the most luxurious in the world, El Transcantábrico Gran Lujo, was created. Years later, this initial project would become two luxury trains: El Transcantábrico Gran Lujo and El Transcantábrico Clásico. More recently, El Transcantábrico Clásico became the Costa Verde Express, offering tours through the region known as Green Spain: Basque Country, Cantabria, Asturias, and Galicia.

Lounge Cars

The lounges of this train are spacious and luxurious, designed for the use and enjoyment of its passengers in moments of relaxation, fun, to discover new landscapes while traveling through the large windows, or to enjoy the onboard gastronomy… The entire train, both rooms and common areas, is internally connected allowing free transit of travelers.
The lounge cars of the Costa Verde Express are authentic jewels of railway heritage and excellent settings for a pleasurable holiday journey, adding great value to a magnificent tourist route.

The Costa Verde Express has four cars, a salon pub with a bar and dance floor, where musical evenings are offered each night. Another lounge car also has a bar and is used for having a mixed drink, with or without alcohol, coffee, tea… and relaxing. The other two lounge cars are used for the enjoyment of passengers, to contemplate the landscapes of the journey (they have large windows), read a book, play board games, converse, make new friends…

The Costa Verde Express provides travelers with daily newspapers, magazines, a selection of library books, TV…

The Suites

The suites of the Costa Verde Express train are cozy and feature only 26 double suites, with wooden paneling that creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere. All are equipped with a private bathroom, hydro-massage shower, hairdryer, and a welcome toiletry kit, plus luggage storage, minibar, safe, wardrobe, desk, and telephone. Air conditioning, heating, and background music.
From the suite, we can contemplate the spectacular landscapes of the journey, as they have a large window. At night, the train will remain stationary to facilitate the rest of the travelers.
